The Coalition to Stop Flu today released its second annual “after action” report on the previous flu season, The 2023-2024 Influenza Season: Outcomes and Policy Recommendations (“the Report”). The Report summarizes the 2023-2024 season and the current pandemic threat, outlines success stories and opportunities for improvement, and makes recommendations for federal policymakers.

The Coalition to Stop Flu continues to monitor the response to the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in the United States. The Coalition applauds federal policymakers for responding rapidly to the evolving H5N1 outbreak and fully recognizing the potential threat to human lives. The Coalition’s September 2024 statement includes additional policy recommendations as the outbreak continues.
